And here is my latest tattoo. This is part of the poem "Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind". It was written in 1922 by Carl Sandburg. The entire poem is actually about a page and a half long so I only got these three parts.
(Done by Justin at Crossover Tattoo in Newport, Oregon)

The doors were cedar and the panels strips of gold
and the girls were golden girls
and the panels read and the girls chanted:
We are the greatest city, the greatest nation:
Nothing like us ever was.

The doors are twisted on broken hinges.
Sheets of rain swish through on the wind
where the golden girls ran and the panels read:
We are the greatest city, the greatest nation,
Nothing like us ever was.

And the wind shifts
and the dust on a door sill shifts
and even the writing of the rat footprints tells us nothing, nothing at all
about the greatest city, the greatest nation
where the strong men listened and the women warbled:
Nothing like us ever was.

Thanks! I like it too! :)

Thanks! It was going to go on my back but I changed my mind once I got to the shop and decided to put it down my side instead.

Cool tat! I'll brave one someday! heehee

I live close to Newport, and am there often! I may have to look into that shop when I get together the balls ;0P

Haha, it's not an unbearable pain in most places. And I really like everyone at the tattoo shop, they've all become some of my good friends instead of just people that work at a tattoo shop I go to. You should definately stop in sometime!

My thing is, I'm DEATHLY afraid of needles. I got my navel pierced when I was 18, and cried BEFORE it was done!! I've had anxiety attacks at doctors offices, before they give me vaccines...

I don't know if I'll ever get over it ;0P

Yeah, I'm not really fond of needles either. Piercings bother me more than tattoos though just because you don't really ever see the needles. I guess I had it easy for my tattoos though because so far I haven't gotten any in a spot where I can actually watch him tattoo it, so I never get a chance to see it happening.

I want a wolf on my back, and ratty paw prints on my shoulders (how the rats sit on me)... I think the back will be more painful, but I'm also not as interested in getting the wolf as my 1st tat, since back tattoos are so "trendy", and I hate to feel like I only want it to be like other people ;)

The shoulder tat will be really unique, but also very simple, one color :) I keep also thinking of a paw print on my leg, where my Corgi puts his paw, but that'd HURT since it's on the front of my leg on the bone ;0P haha
